  • One to one behaviour consultations are for dogs of any age to cover any behaviour issues you might be encountering. Sessions are available to book on Monday mornings or afternoons (in your home) or Saturday mornings (in your home or at the Behaviour Clinic ). The Behaviour Clinic is based at Riverside Vets in Armadale - you do not need to be registered here to book a session!

    A behaviour consultation includes:

    • Pre-session questionnaire review *

    • Behaviour consultation

    • Training planner with tracking sheets

    • Training plan sent to you after each session

    • Training handouts

    • Email and WhatsApp support for the duration of your package

    • 6 weeks support after your last session

      * After booking you will be asked to fill in a short questionnaire about your dog to help us get the most from our time together! Your vet will also be required to sign a form to consent to you working with me

  • Together we will work to understand your dog’s emotional needs. With an in-person consult - session one is a big chat about all things your dog, followed by a written report. We will set some initial tasks to help set you both up for success! You will get some useful handouts and links to further resources.

Our main aim from session one is to prevent the undesirable behaviour from being practiced – what gets practiced, gets perfected! There will be lots of top tips to help navigate life with a dog showing fearful or anxious behaviours!

At sessions two and three we will focus on training games to help change how your dog feels about their fears and anxieties. There will be demos of games, handy guides and support every step of the way with training trackers, email and WhatsApp support to help you share your progress and celebrate your successes!

A package of support lasts around 6 months and you will still have support for a few weeks following your last session. Follow-up sessions are available and can be booked at any time if you need a little training boost or extra support!

  • If your dog is insured, you may be able to claim back the cost of these sessions from your insurer - check your policy!

It is very common for there to be more than one issue present as behaviour issues are complex and often intertwine and overlap with each other. If your dog is working through more than one issue, the likelihood is that you will just need more sessions to help us reach your goals! We will work to prioritise the issues you’re having and work through each one step by step!

We had been navigating behaviour difficulties with our young dog Lola but had no idea they were pain related. Ashley spotted these signs quickly and supported us on our journey to investigating the cause. Ashley’s ongoing kindness, compassion and advocacy have been a driving force for us to push for investigations and then being able to access the care Lola needed. Our journey to understanding and addressing Lola’s behavioural difficulties wouldn’t have been possible without her expertise. We continue to sing Ashley’s praises to anyone who will listen!
